Material development: Calcium phosphate based bioceramics /biocomposites.
Material processing: Wet precipitation synthesis, dry solid-state reaction of calcium phosphates, thermally induced phase separation for bioceramics /biopolymer composites.
Shaping: Porous blocks using microwave heating, slip casting, granulation using spray dryer, coating using plasma spray, biphasic granules using hydrothermal treatment.
Material characterization and analysis: Powder characterization, thermal analysis, phase and chemical composition analysis, morphological analysis, mechanical testing, porosity and density, bioactivity, cytotoxicity assay and bioburden.
